Dr. Sahbi FARHANI holds a MSc in Statistics Applied to Management from the Higher Institute of Management of Sousse (ISGS), University of Sousse, Tunisia (2009) and a PhD in Economic Sciences from the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Management of Tunis (FSEGT), University of Tunis El Manar, Tunisia (2017). He obtained his HDR (Habilitation for Supervising Research) in January 2024 from the University of Sousse, Tunisia.
 
In September 2020, Dr. FARHANI was appointed "Assistant Professor" of Quantitative Methods at the Higher Institute of Finance and Taxation of Sousse (Institut Supérieur de Finances et de Fiscalité de Sousse) (ISFFS), University of Sousse, Tunisia.
 
Between April 2019 and September 2020, Dr. FARHANI joined the post of Director at the Private Faculty of Management and Administrative Sciences of Sousse (FMSA Sousse), Tunisia. Between August 2017 and July 2018, he joined the Private High School of Economics and Management of Sousse (EcoGest), the Private University of Sousse (UPS), Tunisia as a General Director. Previously, he served as a Director of Studies and Internships at the same university (September 2016-August 2017).
Dr. FARHANI also served the position of Assistant professor of Quantitative Methods and Head of Department (October 2014- August 2018) at the UPS, and Research-assistant of Quantitative Methods at the Faculty of Pharmacy of Monastir, University of Monastir, Tunisia (October 2010-September 2015).
 
Dr. FARHANI is also an Affiliate Researcher at the IPAG Business School, Paris, France (since January 2014), and a Visiting Researcher at the University of Lille 3, France (since March 2015).

Dr. FARHANI is a researcher in Energy Economics and Econometrics. His research areas concern energy economics, environmental degree of pollution, and climate change. His articles are published in refereed journals such as: in Elsevier (Energy Policy; Energy; Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews; Economic Modelling; Structural Change and Economic Dynamics; Technological Forecasting and Social Change); in Springer (Environmental Science and Pollution Research); in Emerald (International Journal of Energy Sector Management); in JSTOR (Journal of Energy and Development); etc.
